An Amazing Talent

My name is Scott McCambridge. I was born and raised in central Iowa and started my career in the Midwest, where I built up over seven years of experience working with building codes in addition to more than five years of hands-on work in carpentry and HVAC. I’ve served as an inspector, plans examiner, Assistant Building Official, and most recently Department Administrator. These roles have given me a strong understanding of both the practical and regulatory sides of the industry. I also hold several ICC certifications, including Residential Mechanical Inspector. In addition to my full-time work, I teach part-time, helping adults—whether they’re brand new to construction or seasoned pros—learn residential and commercial building codes. It’s incredibly rewarding to help set them up for careers as building inspectors. Recently, my family and I relocated to Arizona to take on a more challenging and dynamic role in a larger jurisdiction, and I’m excited to keep growing and making an impact in the field.
